Old Stompin' Grounds

Today was tax day for us. We still go to Enumclaw to have our taxes done. We thought about changing to a firm closer to Gig Harbor but we enjoy the ride back to our old stompin' grounds. A feeling of nostalgia washes over me about the time we hit the cherry trees along Buckley's main thoroughfare. While on the plateau we dropped by the "blue" house in Sumner which is now green. As you can see all the plants and shrubs are mature and beautiful. The rocks by the driveway on which Annie and Eva Karin played Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" are still there. We dropped in on some old friends, the Udulutches. They live on beautiful property in the tiny town of Carbonado. The "old guy" in the Model T is in Wilkeson. You drive through Wilkeson to get to Carbonado. The cow pasture is between the "blue" house in Sumner and our yellow house in Buckley. Ben once said he wanted to own that cow pasture. Harlene's bright daffodils were starting to bloom. It was a fun day, and, we learned we are receiving a nice tax refund!
